After a remarkable season of success in 2018, Titleist golf ball players are picking up right where they left off in the new year on the Worldwide Professional Golf Tours. This week, rookie Adam Long captured his first PGA Tour victory, leading a group of four other players who trusted Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x to claim wins at the season-opening events on the LPGA, Web.com, PGA Tour Champions and Asian/Japan tours.
Thus far in the young 2019 season, players trusting their games to a Titleist golf ball have now collected 11 wins across the worldwide professional tours. That's nearly four times more wins than the nearest competing brand with just 3 and more than all competing brands combined.
Let’s take a closer look at this past week’s Titleist tour highlights…

Adam Long | Pro V1 - The Desert Classic
In an epic finish at the Desert Classic, rookie Adam Long (Pro V1), playing in just his sixth career PGA TOUR event, stared down his more experienced playing partners captured his first professional win.
The former Duke University player, who led the field in Putts Per Greens in Regulation (1.510) for the week, saved his best for last, draining a 14-foot birdie putt on the 72nd to seal the victory. He closed with a 7-under-par 65 to chase down the overnight leader, who he trailed by three shots to start the day. His 26-under 262 victory total was one clear of the runners-up.
Talor Gooch, playing the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball, posted the best final round of the day, firing an 8-under 64 to finish solo 4th, two shots behind Long.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Dominic Bozzelli (Pro V1, TS3 driver, 718 AP3/AP2/MB irons, Vokey Design SM7 pitching, gap, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Tour Rat putter) finished solo 5th following four consecutive rounds in the 60’s, racing up the leaderboard with a 64-66 weekend effort.
Titleist was the top choice of players in the field of 156 in golf balls, drivers, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters, and just two shy of the leader in fairway metals.
According to Darrell Survey, 119 players (76%) at The Desert Classic, over three-quarters of the field, teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. That's more than seven times the nearest competitor with 16 (10%).
For the third week in a row on the PGA Tour, Titleist was the field favorite in drivers with 45.
In fact, there were 28 new Titleist TS3 drivers in play this week, that was twice the number of the next closest driver model with 14. The TS3 was also the most played driver model on the European Tour and Web.com Tours.
For the third consecutive week, more than half the wedges in the field (227/53%) were Vokey Design models. The nearest competitor had 68 (16%).

Eun-Hee Ji | Pro V1x - Diamond Resort Tournament of Champions
Eun-Hee Ji (Pro V1x) fought off the cold, wind and a chasing field in Florida to capture the LPGA Tour’s winners-only, season-opening Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions.
Ji finished with a 14-under-par 270 victory total, two shots clear of runner-up Mirim Lee, who was playing the NEW Pro V1x for the first time in competition.
Ji topped a leaderboard on which each of the top five finishers all relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
Among the field of 26 players, Titleist accounted for 21 golf balls, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 2.

Marty Dou | Pro V1x - The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic
On the Web.com Tour, Marty Dou (Pro V1x) captured the season-opening Great Exuma Classic in the Bahamas by two shots, punctuated by a 55-foot birdie putt on the final hole. He finished with an 18-under 270 victory total.
Dou birdied the final three holes for the victory, the second of his Web.com Tour career (His first win came at the 2017 Digital Ally Open).
Ben Kohles (Pro V1) tied for 2nd, including carding the best final round of 8-under-par 64 to race up the leaderboard.
Titleist was the golf ball of choice at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic, with 89 players in the field of 132 relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, nearly six times the nearest competitor with 15 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the field favorite in the driver (40), hybrid (17) and iron (45) categories. Vokey Design wedges topped the gap, sand and lob wedge category with 183 Vokey models in play at the season-opening event.

Tom Lehman | NEW 2019 Pro V1 - Mitsubishi Electric Championship
It was a Titleist NEW Pro V1 1-2 finish at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship where Tom Lehman rallied to top David Toms and win the PGA Tour Champions’ season-opening event by one shot.
Trailing by four shots entering the final round, Lehman closed with his second consecutive 7-under-par 65 en route to a 17-under 199 victory total. The win marked Lehman’s 12th career PGA TOUR Champions title.
Lehman’s win is the first for the NEW Pro V1 golf ball on the PGA TOUR Champions, as both he and Toms were playing it for the first time in competition.
The Mitsubishi Electric Championship was a limited-field event on Kona in Hawaii, where 29 of the 42 players relied upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 6.

Jazz Janewattananond | NEW 2019 Pro V1 - SMBC Singapore Open
The momentum and winning success of the NEW Pro V1 golf ball continued at the SMBC Singapore Open where Jazz Janewattananond fired his second consecutive 6-under-par 65 en route to an 18-under 266 victory total.
The Thai player finished two shots ahead of two players, including Paul Casey (Pro V1), and four clear of Matthew Fitzpatrick (NEW Pro V1x), who finished solo 4th.
Janewattananond earned a berth into the 2019 Open Championship with his performance as part of the qualifying series, as did Prom Meesawat (NEW Pro V1x) and Do-Yeob Mun (Pro V1x), who tied for 5th.
The event was co-sanctioned by the Japan and Asian Tours, and was the season-opener for each.
Titleist was the golf ball of choice at SMBC Singapore Open, with 102 players in the field of 156 relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than three times the nearest competitor with 28 and more than all competitors combined.
