Titleist golf ball loyalist In-Kyung Kim (Pro V1x) rallied on Sunday to win the Marathon Classic to claim her sixth career LPGA Tour crown and to also become the LPGA's second two-time winner this season.
Kim captured the ShopRite LPGA Classic in June and joins fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist So Yeon Ryu (Pro V1) as the only multiple winners to date.
Two strokes behind the overnight leader, Kim birdied six of her first nine holes and finished with an 8-under-par 63 en route to a 21-under-par 263 victory total.
“I really didn't expect anything,” said Kim. “Maybe I think that's why I played really well today. Really good names are on top of the leaderboard, and I just wanted to go out and make the most out of it, and today I was able to do that.”
Kim finished four shots clear of her nearest competitor and topped a leaderboard that featured 12 Titleist golf ball players among the 13 who placed in the top 10 and ties.
Congratulations, I.K.!
