Michael Thompson (Pro V1) birdied two of the last three holes to capture the 3M Open for his second career PGA TOUR title. It was an emotional victory for Thompson who earned his first win at the 2013 Honda Classic. Thompson closed with a 4-under par 67 en route to a 19-under 265 victory total, finishing two shots clear of Adam Long (Pro V1), who fired an 8-under 63 on Saturday and a final round 7-under par 64 to race 12 more spots up the leaderboard for solo 2nd place.
Fast Fact: Thompson’s win marked the 20th for Titleist players on the 2019-20 PGA TOUR season, four times the nearest competitor with 5.
