New Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Tommy Fleetwood fired a flawless final round 5-under-par 66 to claim a one-shot victory over Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Uihlein (New Pro V1x) at the HNA Open de France.
It marked the third career European Tour title for Fleetwood, who also captured the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January after switching to the Titleist golf ball.
Fleetwood finished with a 12-under-par 272 victory total.
Uihlein put late pressure on Fleetwood with four back nine birdies to close with a 3-under-par 68.
As a result of his runner-up finish, Uihlein claimed one of the three qualifying spots available for The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. He was joined by fellow Titleist golf ball loyalists Alexander Björk and Mike Lorenzo-Vera, both of whom play the New Pro V1 and shared third position with a third player trusting a Pro V1x golf ball.
Congratulations, Tommy!
