Janewattananond Claims First Asian Tour Title

“I didn’t sleep much last night to be honest, even though I had a four-stroke lead. I think that was the longest 18 holes of my life and I’m happy I’m through it.”

Those were the words of Titleist golf ball loyalist Jazz Janewattananond, who relied upon the Pro V1x golf ball to capture the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open for his first career Asian Tour crown.

The 21-year-old Thai closed with a spotless 4-under-par 67 en route to a 17-under-par 267 victory total and finished four shots clear of local favorite, Titleist golf ball loyalist Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh (New Pro V1x).

“I have been waiting for this win for so long,” Janewattananond said after the final putt fell. “I started playing on the Asian Tour when I was an amateur at 14. It’s just a huge relief that I managed to get the job done. I’m happy I finished with a really good round.”

Janewattananond topped a leaderboard that included 10 Titleist golf ball loyalists among the 12 players who finished in the top 10 and ties.
