AP2 712 shafts

    Hi,

    I wanted to try the 712 AP2s in the Titleist NS Pro 970 stiff shafts at my local Perth golf course but was told that it wasn't available on the surefit system in Australia for this season. I had a fitting done in California when I was there recently and the PX 5.5 was the best fit for me in terms of launch angle but I would still benefit from around 400-800rpm more backspin. Unfortunately they also didn't have the NS 970 in a stiff flex to try. Does Titleist Australia offer a custom set of AP2s with this shaft option?

    Hi Andrew,

    The Titleist Fitting Staff in Australia and New Zealand do not carry the same components in our fitting carts as what our US counterparts carry in their fitting carts.  There are a lot of components (grips, shafts etc) available only in the US that unfortunately we just can't supply here in Australia purely for logistical reasons- cost and quantities available etc.  Similarly there are many types of exotic shafts only available in the Asian region that are not available in the US for the same reasons. In the end it comes down to the size of our market and trying to meet the needs of as many consumers as possible.

    If after testing locally as well as in the US you believe the NS Pro 970 Shaft is the correct shaft for you, then we can go about getting a custom build done in the US for you.  Please get your local fitter to contact our Customer Service team when doing your order.
