981 DCI with Tri Spec Stiff Shaft

    Hello,

    I have a set of 981 DCI irons and i am thinking of replaceing the shafts. Can you tell me what the shaft tip size is in the original Tri Spec stiff shaft. Also, any suggestions on what would be a good shaft upgrade for these irons? Im a 10 handicap.

    They should be a .355 taper tip.  I had a set with Dynamic Gold Sensicore R300. 

    Also keep in mind about whether or not to spend 38 bucks a pop for Project X or KBS Tour C Taper given that the resale price of DCI 981 is about $85.
