  1. hi there,

i am recovering from a wrist bone injury and it was suggested that maybe i can switch out of my DG R300 steel shafts in my AP2 710 to graphite shafts to graphite iron shafts to get that little bit more shock absorption and to minimise vibrations....

anyone runs graphite in their AP2 710? I like these so would prefer to keep the heads and retrofit the shafts...

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Graphite shafts will definitely absorb more of the vibration than steel shafts and will be beneficial if you are having issues with your hands or wrists.  The only thing you may have to get used too is the lighter weight of the graphite shafts versus steel shafts.  May want to give it a try and see if you like the graphite shafts in your irons.  Best of Luck!

thats not what i experianced. I dont know if graphite shaft technology has changed that much in 5 years but i had a set of graphite shafted irons before and the vibration to me seems to be more magnified. especially in winter. winter time is the worst for grafite shafts.

I have S400 Sensicore shafts in my 695MBs, and there is no vibration compared to my older shafts (S300).  I am very happy with the change.  Never liked graphite shafts.  Like John L posted,  I don't think its better.
