  1. Good Morning

I am a 13 handicap and get about 45 to 60 rounds in a year.  I have played the titlest DCI for the last 8 years.  I am looking to upgrade now and am wondering where to start.  I don't want to be pushed into something that isn't going to help my game.  I would like to know the "upgraded" version of the DCI.

    Dave--

I'd been playing with the original DCI Black irons for many years and decided it was time to change.   I went to a demo day and tried both AP1 and AP2 irons and ordered AP2s.  They're a little longer than the DCIs, and being forged, have great "feel," especially with softer balls.   I didn't like last year's ProV1x, but the softer ProV1 feels great.

    Aloha,

    Mike

    Hey Dave

DCI has been upgraded several times, I used to use 962's now I have upgraded to 990b.

I picked the 990b over 990 because I wanted less offset.

You are wanting an iron that will improve your game, what does your game need? are you looking for new or used?

If you want used, 3ballsgolf on ebay has a set of DCI 990( a little less offset than DCI black) 1-PW ending soon, and a set of DCI 981 ( a little more offset than DCI black) 3-PW ending in a couple of days.

I played the DCI Black's for years also until I upgraded to the 735.cm line.   I really like the progressive nature of the 735's.  Of the new clubs right now, I would suggest that you look at the 710 cb's.
