I played a couple rounds with my prototype 2 golf balls and I shot the best rounds of my year. I hope they get released and I can find out what they were. They were amazing. Long and straight off the tee and plenty of controll on and around the greens. Thanks Titleist for the opportunity!!!

How do you get them

Played 3 rounds with these in the last week... straighter off the tee, good bite on the greens... can't wait to get more! Thanks for including me the test!

Yes these balls are great and give great distance, spin, and control. They also are extremely durable and I cant wait for them to be released! I had the red number prototype ball and it worked fantastic!

Does anyone know if the prototype is more like the V1 or the V1x?
How can I get the test balls?

Played 3 rounds this week with prototype balls vs. ProV1x. Quite truthfully, I liked the ProV1x. It felt more lively, response off the club face was quicker with more spin around the greens. Off the tee, didn't notice any difference.

Here are my test results. I played side-by-side with a Z-Star for first 9 holes. The Z-Star feels a little softer around the green, but the performance of the Titleist test ball was off the charts. Not too much spin off driver, but was able to draw the ball. Distance was equal to, or better than anything I've played this year (ProV1X, Srixon Z Star, Z Star SL, NXT Tour, Hex Chrome, B330 RX). Great control with approach shots. Performed perfect for my wedges, good spin, but not too much either. By the fifth hole, I finally dialed in the putter and the comparison was over: Titleist test ball was the winner. I played the test ball exclusively on the back 9 and was 1-under thru 5 holes (finished +2 with a 38). One of my better rounds of the year. Testing was done in 48 degree weather.
Not sure what this ball is, but the improvements are noticable. I would put this ball in the bag for sure. I hope it makes past the R&D process.

The fact I played golf Nov. 12, in Traverse City, Mi and it was nearly 70 degrees was good enough, but I really liked the Prototype 2 golf balls.
Very similar to my ProV1X balls, but I felt they were softer and really jumped off the face of my clubs. Very consistent distances and trajectories.
Thanks for allowing me to test.
Great Job
