I just tested the new prototype balls this weekend. I really loved the new ball. It was a 48 degree day, but this ball still flew pretty far, especially hitting short irons. It felt like it had the nice soft feel (maybe slightly harder) of the ProV1 but also a little extra distance than the ProV1x. The prototype balls feel like a great mix that combines the best of both balls into one. It has really good spin around the greens and feels excellent coming off the putter. I would absolutely purchase this ball. I hope it is available in the spring, because I would love to put this ball in play during the nice weather.
