Pro V1 or X (Side Spin)

    Hello to you all,

    I've been looking around a lot concerning which ball would suit me better but I always get two different answers.
    The problem I'm struggling with is the side spin I generate. I'm a low handicap (3.4) but struggle to hit greens... I have rather good feel around the greens as I make up and down 9/10.
    So the question I had was, for someone generating too much side spin, is a Pro V1 or Pro V1x more interesting?

    Marc,

    If you're seeing too much side spin, between the two you asked about, I'd go with the Pro V1x. The Pro V1 is softer and has more spin to it.

    Is the direction of the side spin consistent? For example, do you usually draw or fade the ball? Perhaps you can improve your G.I.R. by controlling the ball flight. This could also be a shaft issue. Were you fitted for your irons?
