  1. How can I distinguish the new 2013 balls from the older models? I've read about the differences between the 2011 and older and have even seen photos from 2001to 2009, but haven't seen anything definitive about the newest 2013. I think it has to do with the A.I.M. markings (arrow is grayish instead of solid black), but I want something definite. I want to buy some of the newest 2013 and don't want to get ripped off paying for 2013 balls but getting an older model. I've just joined Team Titleist and look forward to the blogs, videos, and information I'm going to be fortunate to get. The next part is to let you know what kind of golfer I am and maybe get some advice on what Titleist ball might be best for me. I really like the Pro V1X and Pro V1. I too would like Titleist to make a yellow Pro V ball! I have played all sorts of golf balls in my 40 years of playing golf. I currently have a 14 handicap and consistently shoot in the 80's. I occasionally break 40, but it's on the front or back 9. Hard for me to break 80, although I have broken 80 3 times in my golfing life. I'm not a long driver, but consistently hit the ball straight. I'm 67, 5 ft tall and not very strong, but I have been lucky to have gotten 4 hole-in-ones and 3 eagles! My husband and I are both retired so average 4 rounds a week. We live in NC so the weather usually cooperates. Hope it's okay to post all this. I'm a newbie poster, so please forgive me if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for any replys! Barbara N in NC

    Hi Barbara,

Welcome aboard! Here are some images of the new 2013 Pro V1 and Pro V1x packaging and sidestamps. This will be your best bet for telling them apart from prior generation models.

    Cheers!

  3. Mike, Thanks so much for replying AND sharing the photos showing the new Titleist Pro V's!! They help a lot. I have found several of each on the course I play. I really like both balls. I saw some Pro V's for sale yesterday. They were the old version, so I didn't buy them. I think my pro shop has the new ones. Can probably buy them from Golfsmith or Dick's too. At least I won't get ripped off now. Somewhere in these posts are photos of the older versions. I've gone through some of my old balls and have some of each version. It's interesting to see the progression of the various markings. Makes me wonder what Titleist will do for the next version! Time will tell. Thanks again, Barbara
