I have only had the opportunity to try these balls out on one occasion, which was a very wet, very windy day, on the Scottish East Coast. I am a high handicapper, due in part to my good distance poor direction, therefore I am not able to talk much about spin, control, etc. The red ball seemed like a slightly harder connection at the club face, consequently I think it gave me greater distance, due to the weather this was difficult to judge as I was either playing into a gale, or had the gale at my back, I do though think the red ball would be the one that I would elect to play. I had no issues with the black ball, but the red felt more like my kind of ball and gave me that little bit of confidence that you need when confronted with some shots.

I am now looking forward to the spring and trying both balls out in better weather, as far as I can that is, I only have one of the red and two of the black left.
