    Need help. I am 63. Just coming back after a year and halk lay off. Shoulder. I have been hitting the Wilson DUO, srxn Soft and a few other low compression balls. Need to change. Guys in my Senior Golf League say try the DT SoLo. Has anyone out there tried these yet. If so what do you think.

    I am 65 and play to about an 11 hdcp.  I switched to the SoLo early last year after playing the NXT for a number of years.  I have not played any of the other brands of balls as I have been a Titleist  user for a lot of years.  I made the switch for mainly two reasons, softness and cost.  I find that the SoLo is extremely soft feeling off of just about any shot, but was pleasantly surprised as to the length off of the tee and the accuracy on iron shots.  It plays very well around the green for my game.  I am not one that likes a lot of spin for my approach shots.  To see a shot spin back away from the hole for a longer putt is not what I want.  On shots with an 8 iron-wedges the ball will stop pretty quickly with little roll-out, but on shots with 4-7 irons the ball will release somewhat.  It will check up a bit on chip shots from around the fringe (sometimes a bit more than wanted) but that may be more a result of my swing than the ball.  As I said I'm 65 and on a short budget, so to be able to use a ball that is soft and works so well for my game and only spend $20 per dozen is just a plus.  I would highly recommend the SoLo for anyone wanting a soft ball that performs well in all situations and is pretty reasonably priced.  Hope this helps.  Fairways and greens.

    Not sure what you are looking for, Titleist has softened all their balls over the last releases.  DT Solo and NXT Tour-S are the lowest compression.  Pro-V1 is also softer than it used to be.  DT Solo launches well and stays on line.

    DT solo sounds like a good fit. I'd suggest picking up a few sleeves of a variety of balls and finding out which one feels best.

    Thank you Mark. At 63 Iam not a low handicap. My best is in the upper 90's. After shoulder surgury I just can't get around. I will try theSoLo. Thanks again
