I agree...I am having the same strong results! Amazing!

the results are super amazing with all clubs. the compression is great and putting has a nice soft feel.

What I am liking about these new balls is it seems to be harder to scuff. Of the three test balls, two looked like new when the round was over.

how do u get the balls

I was really happy with the test balls I received - though my familiarity with the ProV1 made me trust the new ones a little less than the test balls.
I think I rec'd a version of the ProV1 - there was still a lot of spin, and the cover, if anything was softer and gave a "duller" thud. I liked the ball, and still felt like a ProV1 - just, perhaps, a softer version of it.
Of course, maybe it was just something different in the weather or my swing - but still, it felt a touch different. Fun job to have assigned. I'm hoping that they could use some help with fairway woods next!
THANK YOU TITLEIST!

I played over the weekend with my package.....and I really liked the ball!!!! The only thing I noticed bad was an apparent loss of distance....but on approach shots and around the green......WOW!!! Seemed like the I had more control and the ball did not run as much on the green. I have played PRO V1's since they came out.....these prototypes seem to be much better with the short game. I really liked the ball...almost enough to give up the loss of distance! Thanks TITLEIST for allowing us to have our voices heard!!!!!!! You guys ROCK!!!!!

Unbelievable ! I didn't think this would ever improve my game, but it did. My normal playing partner could believe how far I was hitting the prototype ball. I was hitting my driver 3 wood 20 yards further then I normally did. I loved the way it putted as well. I wasn't crazy about the feel off the irons though. Shot 4 of my best scores this year. I need to get more of these!

Loved the ball on mid-long irons, not as much with driver
At least 1/2 club longer with my irons

Yes, it did. I normally play the Pro V1 because I can't seem to compress the x enough. This ball felt softer than both the Pro V1 and the x. It was certainly longer than the Pro V1. #1 is a 175yd par three that is all carry. Normally I hit a 5 iron and that gets me in the middle. I flew the green by 2 yds... I did not notice a huge gain with the driver but my irons were easily 5-8yds longer with very predictable results. Very good ball. I am wondering if they are introducing a softer version similar to what some of the other ball manufacturers have done?

i AGREE!
AWESOME BALL AND IS ALMOST BETTER THAN THE PROV1X!
I GOT RED NUMBERS! ANYONE ELSE!

How cool is it to be involved in Titleist R&D.
Played two full practice rounds with my proto type golf balls and spend considerable time chipping and putting with them. I usually play the ProVx. I am a 7 handicap with driver swing speed around 110, irons around 100. My buddy played one as well. He is a 4 handicap and usually plays the ProV. We had no idea what model of golf ball this was. We both assumed based on the feel it was a Pro V something??
I did not notice much difference in distance off the tee but a couple of irons flew farther than normal on stock good swings. Main difference to me was the softness and feel of the cover. The proto types felt softer and were great for chipping and putting and for less than full wedge approach shots. Appeared to have a slightly lower ball flight on all shots, which is great for me. Cover being a little softer may show more wear than the current (2014) ProVx version but much better than the model from a couple of years ago.
When I do ball fitting sessions I am stuck in the middle. Need less spin on full shots (provx), but would like a lower trajectory (prov). Generally the testing says I should play the ProVx because of the spin ratios.
Not sure what the proto type is but it seemed to work good for me. Be interested to find out what model it is.

Received my sleeve of prototype pro V balls a couple weeks ago and played 4 rounds them. I must say the ball was flying straighter off the clubface and I agree the stopping power on the green was excellent. Or was it that i made an unknown swing change that healed my light fade. Not likely. I have been hitting the ball the same for many years. I was very impressed with the flight of the ball. I also think i got a little more distance with my irons, but dont hold me to as I put all three in a lake between me and the hole. Guess my (Tin Cup) EGO got the best of me. I was trying to carry 240 yds to othe pin.

used proto ball for 4 rounds nice playability and durable they still look good. Alternated pro v 1 an 1 x during round and found proto to be straighter seemed to be easier to compress and rolls sweet of the putter

exactly how i felt to i had red 1 balls
Mike KBoise, ID
I got them as well. However, they felt and sounded more like a two piece ball. They made such a loud click off the driver that the other players accused me of hitting a TopFlt. I also found the distance inconsistent. The same shot varied as much as 8 yards off the mid irons. I wonder if we all got the same balls to test. The dimples looked similar to the ProV1 but definitely not the same ball. I switched mid round back to the ProV1 that I usually play with and the difference was remarkable.

always love it when titleist brings out a new a ball and asks for imput from the people who play them. though i didn't see any discernible differences, i don't think you can give a ball a fair test with just 3 balls.

Had the same experience. Played 3 rounds with the Test balls this week, comparing them to my usual Titleist and some others I had. One showed a little more wear than usual, but that happens when you hit into the desert gravel! Now I want "Test" stamped on all my golf balls. Only wish I could find out what they are. Thanks Titleist.

Ditto!
I was playing the srxn Z-Star and received the test balls two weeks ago. Much longer off the tee with as good or better bite from the fairway and green side than the Srixons. I hope Titleist will let us know when these test nuggets hit the market!
David HMoore, OK
I could not have said it better. I love to play the PRO V1x and I'm not sure what it was but I played 3 rounds with my sleeve which was 1 round per ball and the fewest greens I hit 11 and 14 was the best. The balls definitely flew further with Hybrids and long irons and I hit a 4 hybrid into a green from 198 out and it hit and stopped within 15 inches. I loved this prototype
Thomas BWest Hartford, CT
This was crazy. I was excited to try the prototype ball but wanted to only use it on my home course to make it comparable. First day I broke my career low. It was a little longer but the most noticeable difference was the ball just stopped on the greens with my wedges. It "felt" comparable with the putter. Thank you Titleist for letting me test the ball.
John WFulton, NY
Played 84 holes with my first prototype... currently have 36 holes on the 2nd one! Great ball to play, fly's straight even on windy days.
George MBryans Road, MD
I'm getting almost 10 yards more and the prototype ball stops way better than the ProVix, especially on chips and bunker shots. The golfers who get to test this ball are going to really be surprised how good this ball is.
