So I got a sleeve of prototype balls. Thank You Titleist, this is my first prototype offering and I'm excited about a chance to weigh in! I went and played, used the prototype and my regular V1x. Off the tee, with the prototype, I was a bit more prone to slice than normal but into the greens I've never had so much control or seen so many shots sit down for me. Definitely hit this prototype closer to the hole. Unfortunately, I will hit the occasional tree or cart path and the V1x has always been more tolerant of those mis-hits than most any ball I've played (unless it was hard as a rock). The prototype ball was not as durable, but I have seen worse. If this prototype makes it to production, I'd be torn between a little more control around the greens and the durability and straighter off the tee aspects of my current ball. I wish all of my problems were so simple. :)
