I just completed my survey after using these new prototype balls for several rounds which were kindly provided by Titleist. I have been playing Titleist golf balls for 40 years now. I play the Titleist Pro V1x. I was very impressed with this new ball. It had a harder feel off the driver and softer off the irons. Great distance, outstanding performance off the irons and into the greens simply an amazing feel. I noticed the cover is softer then the Pro V1x and not as durable but I am more than willing to sacrifice that durability for the overall performance I gain using the ball. Great job Titleist and thank you for the opportunity to be part of the prototype testing.

I have played back to the Acushnets, Balata, professionals, prov.. and many other balls throughout my history of golf. There are a lot of copycats and wanna be's. But just take the time to go out to the course and hit all the competitions balls off the tee, then to the green and some shots around the greens. In all my testing, with several different club mfg's and types of drivers and wedges.. Titleist has out performed them all. I just used one of the test balls to over 130 holes (before it slipped to never never land) and the cover showed no wedge, iron or driver damage.!! Lots of wedge spin shots and a bunker or two. I am not doubting your durability results, I just beat the stuffing (gutta percha) out of the test balls and did not see a durability problem.

I play Vokey Spin milled wedges and the grooves really leave score lines in the covers. Many years ago I tried some Titleist prototype balls and after 5 holes the covers were completely shot. I relayed that information to Titleist and it appeared they heard me and others in that they changed the covers when they introduced their new line of balls to a harder more durable cover. I am not complaining about the durability but noticed the softness of the covers, which I really like I might add, but when I hit the ball the first time with my 60* Vokey it scored the cover a little. I continued to play the ball for many many holes, so many holes I lost count. I did notice some additional score marks which did not affect the performance of the ball just the look. I was extremely impressed and pleased with this prototype ball and can't wait for them to come out. These new balls will definitely be in my bag.

I also have played the prototype ball and totally agree with Mark as to the feel and performance. I am 64 years old and I played yesterday in 58 degree weather and the results of this ball were the best in these conditions that I have ever experienced. If this ball comes to market I will purchase them.
