vintage titleist ball?

    i was given the other day a vintage set of clubs and bag........

    inside the bag was a titleist ball red number  on the side where the alinment mark is on new balls the word "Acushnet"  anyone have any idea what decade this would have been

    Hi Clayton, When I was much younger, I remember seeing and finding many a golf ball stamped "Acushnet" on the side. The ones I found were old, wound type balls with a "waffle like" dimple pattern from the late 1970's thru to the mid 1980's. Does the ball have anything else on it like "DT ..."? Would love to see a photo if possible. I've been collecting old Titleist golf balls from youth days!

    Wow. Clayton what a great find honestly those golfballs are probably way older then  me im only 18. Its pretty awsome to here about old golfballs like this.

    Just found a sleeve of Titleist 100 HP2 Balls in an old golf bag of mine and was trying to remember what year I used these.

    Anyone remember?
