    This is for a science fair project. Is it possible to get just the core of a golf ball or is it possible to consistently break open a golf ball with minimal damage?

    I think you'll need o bite the bullet and just saw through a ball with a hand saw!

    A good razor knife should do it if you go slow and take your time. I cut a Pinnicale open like that , the inside was like a superball and bounced like crazy.
