while i hope everyone in the path of the blizzard are safe and sound i was on the course today with my son. it was a cold (for us) 53 with winds 20-30mph. i played a new sleeve of ProV1x balls which performed extremely well. i was very happy with the consistency the entire round. the only negative was the lack of distance but i'm sure the temps were the culprit there. so glad for year round golfing here in Fla.

There you go Jim! We have some good weather here too. Not going to say where because we have so many people moving here. Getting crowded. But you know I wonder about how much distance I lose in colder weather. Could it be as much as 10-15 yards? Enough to make a difference when I walk to my ball. Or maybe I am cold and not turning enough?

I also played a new Pro v1x this week in Colorado and was very impressed with the way it performed around the greens even though I didn't but it great off the tee

I love the ProV1x and it is definitely a great ball for any type of player. There is no doubt in my mind that you loose at least a club distance in 50 degree weather compared to 75 -85 degree weather. Another thing I have observed that for windy conditions, that hitting into a wind you definitely need to club up accordingly, say one club for every 10 mph, but hitting with the same wind you don't need to club down as much as you think.

Playing golf with your son is a great memory.
    Good for you!
Some of my fondest memories are my days on the course with my father and friends.
4 hours in a cart with someone will definetly bring you closer.

Here in Houston we got up to 68ish on Sunday. The courses were packed.
