It all depends, for single digit and better handicappers it's all about the feel and spin of the ball. The NXT is basically a step down but with similar functionality. DT solo and velocity don't spin much but you tear them up pretty quickly with wedges.

The NXT Tour and NXT Tour-S are the most similar to the Pro-V1x and Pro-V1 in non-urethane covers. Velocity has it's own cover and is designed for distance and lower side spin, although not as controllable around greens. TrueSoft is the softest feel of any Titleist with high launch and reasonable greenside performance for the price. Each golfer will have a different preference for ball performance, personal skill level and time commitment, and price tolerance. Titleist controls all the steps and each ball is consistent with the others in a box.
