I'm obviously not a ball fitter, but I have the same swing speed as you 89-91 and I use Prov1, I haven't really noticed any difference off the tee between it and the X for me, but I do like it much better off wedges and the putter.

May I suggest you determine which ball works better for you around the greens? The ProV1x has a thinner cover that allows for greenside spin and, it launches higher than the ProV1 on full shots.

My swing speed is 93, am 70 years old, 12 hdcp, and was fitted for a Prov1. Everyone is different. Check and see when they are doing ball fittings in your are and see what is best for you. Cheers, Chuck.....

I have talked with a Titleist Ball Fitter before and the best answer to your question is what do you need from the ball you play? As far as distance goes, ProV1, ProV1x or either NXT will go about the same distance with a driver. The real difference comes in approach and around the green. You get a little more spin from a ProV1 than the x but both ProV's spin more and are a little softer that the NXT's. I hope that helps.

I seem to get a tad bit more distance off the tee with the Pro V1x, but I really like the feel of the Pro V1. I tend to hit them both equally but really like the control of the Pro V1.

I have a driver swing speed of about 95mph and I just started playing the ProV1x and I love it. I used to play the NXT tour and the ProV1x is a much better all around ball. I have not played the ProV1 much before but I imagine it is on the same level. I don't think swing speed matters as much because like Titleist says, we all have many different swing speeds. The difference the ProV1 and ProV1x gives you around the green is definitely substantial.

I am 69 years old, have a driver swing speed of 83 mph and love the 1X. It gives me about 225 yards on a good drive so I have to rely on a up and down on long par 4's. The 1X works good around and on the green.
