I would anticipate a late January 2021 release.

chuckle, wrong company - someone else discounts that much (33%). Titleist has done a (4-4-3) Get 4 for the price of 3 (25%) and they never announce it much before the week they open it in March for 4 weeks. I'm hoping this tradition continues in 2021 - and that they'll offer custom numbers in amber other than just 1-2-3-4.

I believe it's buy 3 get 1 free. And it's usually in March/April if I remember correctly.

It's thought they do that every year. And they usually throw in free personalization.

I don't know when the 2021 pro v's will drop but the 39.99 price on the 2019 is way too primo. I am stocking up while the getting is good!

Will probably snag a few dozen of the current model at 39.99 with my shop credit, but have heard really good things about the new pro v1x. I know someone on a players contract that said the new ball is a great improvement (not that the current line needs improving)

They feel like they spin a bit more than the previous model and feel really nice off the putter. I think they travel farther but it was windy here yesterday so it was hard to tell.

Received a sleeve of 2021 Pro V1s from Titleist yesterday for testing. Though I am anxious to try them this week, it's only supposed to be mid-40s. I feel like I should wait until it's a little warmer to give them a truly fair assessment. So, maybe, just out of curiosity, I try one on them against a 2020 AVX and also the previous 2019/20 Pro V1, just to see how the three compare in colder temps. I'll save the other two for warmer temps.

My sleeve arrived yesterday and, we received a couple dozen at the TT Bandon Dunes outing. I've not tried any of them yet but will start the trial today.

Excited to try these out this year. Will have to wait until spring. Wisconsin is snow covered.

OK, so I can't tell you how privileged I feel to test the new ProV1X! I almost fell over when I opened the FedEx envelope and saw the white box.

For study comparison purposes, I'm 65 yrs old with a 0.2 handicap and I still play the back tees with the flat bellies, although I give up 20-30 yds off the tee LOL.

I will apologize, in advance, for the long post. However, I feel it is only necessary and proper to give this opportunity the respect it deserves.

That said, I took them on some test spins this past week.

Prior to actually hitting them, I thought it was important to take a good look in comparison to the current ProV1X.

The first thing you notice is the enhanced guideline noted in other posts. Much better. In my opinion, it could probably go a little bolder yet and perhaps a bit more elongated. Just me.

Second, the new ball seems to have a slightly different dimple pattern. Am I seeing things? LOL

Upon arriving at my club, the first thing I wanted to do was hit the putting green. After all, this is really where the rubber meets the road, right? To me, the new ball seems to be a bit harder than the current ball which is great with me. I like to feel that "click" off of the putter face when I hit putts. The ball tracks very well and there doesn't seem to be any difference in the distance the ball travels with similar strokes. I took the three new balls and three current balls and, without any target, just took a baseline stroke with each of the six balls multiple times. There was no apparent variation in the distances based upon the balls themselves. That is a good thing, as transition to the new ball will be fairly seamless upon availability later this year.

With the knowledge that the ball appears to have a tougher or harder cover, I was next anxious to go to the chipping area for wedge testing with the new ball.

Very responsive! Maybe a bit more than the current ball? I tested it against the current ProV1X on a variety of greenside type shots and with all four of my wedges. Again, the ball seems to "click" off the face a bit more than the current ball, yet it seems that it might have a bit more spin. Fascinating really.

At this point, I'm getting anxious to take the new sleeve to the course.

I decided to play the front nine with the current ball and the back nine with the new ProV1X. However, there were several occasions where my buddies allowed me to hit two balls for a side by side comparison.

Unlike the putting and wedge testing, I felt no difference on normal distance shots between the balls. Same great Titleist feel on both iron and wood swings. Again, interesting to me.

However, my takeaway from the round was that the new ProV1X is slightly longer than the current ball. Perhaps its because it seems the new ProV1X ball flight appears to be slightly higher. I can't be certain but that was my impression. It then occurred to me the original visual examination of a slightly different dimple pattern. Harder cover? Dimple pattern? Who knows? I'm no aero engineer. Just go with the flow.

Overall performance? Well, I can tell you that I was 3 over on the front nine with the current ball and 2 under par on the back with the new ball. I birdied the very first hole played with the new ball. How is that for building confidence.....

The bummer is that I only have one sleeve. I can't wait to be able to order my usual 8 dozen custom balls this spring with the 2021 ProV1X. I'm excited! Please hurry, as I'm down to my last dozen of last year's allotment.

Thanks so much for a great review. You sound a lot like me and my criteria for a golf ball. I am curious if you tried the left dash X as I had almost the same results last February when I tested it against the current prov1X. Everything was the same but it launched higher and had lower spin off the driver.

Chris, thank you for your detailed review and I appreciate your insight! A lot of people have been saying the ball feels softer when putting, at least that's what I been seeing. I have only hit the new ball into a simulator and I am excited to test it out myself once the season starts again in Connecticut.

I received a sleeve of the 2021 PROV1 balls and after marking them with my identifying star, took them out for a test run. I have played PROV1 and PROV1x for years and always found the "X" to be harder and spin less for me, so I didn't use it much in the warmer months. However, after testing the 2021 PROV1 ball in the Pennsylvania 34 degree cold this weekend, the new model of PROV1 performed so well that I may never buy "X" again. This ball came of the face of my 915 driver like a rocket and gave me 10-20 yds. of extra distance. As for my irons, it was comparable to older versions, but around the greens it checked up when I needed it to and rolled out smoothly on pitch and run shots. I didn't notice a difference with the putter, but I like the alignment marking. The Ball seems to be more durable than older models, as well. I will definitely be a purchaser as soon as these get released, hopefully before my Myrtle Beach trip in mid-February.

I received the 2021 Pro V1x last week for testing. I live in Connecticut so I'll need to wait till our golf season resumes again to truly test them but that didn't stop me from hitting them in the simulator. The ball felt great and it produced some of the best numbers I've had in the simulator. I cant wait for these to come out! Does anyone know when these are releasing or when the official release date is?

I grabbed 4 dozen 2019 ProV1s at the lower price, too good to pass up. I also got 2 dozen of the new ProV1x to try this year. I have 2 dozen also of the AVX, going to test them all and see which one works better for me.
