  1. Can you please stop putting numbers on the ProV1 and ProV1x I would like to mark my own numbers. I'm sure manufacturing would be easier as well. Better players want to make their own markings. Thanks for consideration.

That would be interesting. A ball with no number

I wonder if a number is necessary for confirmation by the USGA? Even balls marked TEST or Prototype xxxx that I have had in the past (kept souvenirs) are all marked 1. Even the promo/custom deals for V and X will give you the option of 00 and 1-99 but no blanks.

I did get a comment from an old curmudgeon that I needed to mark my ball. I had thought the number "50" would
have been identifying enough, but not to his satisfaction.

Interesting thought and concept. I would think this would be an amazing concept.

With respect, am happy with the current status. I purchase the high numbers thru my titleist account. Too satisfy those of interest, could offer "no" numbers in custom ordering. Seem like a pretty simple process but could come at same cost.

Just custom order with the number you would like to use.

I used to order all my Pro v's with the number 63 & 66 for the birth years of me & my wife. Now I just order the number 1. Pretty simple to order a number you want on your ball. I have a friend that used to mark out the number as his way to identify his ball?

I never thought of that. I've never heard anyone complain about having numbers on their ball. I don't know why a low handicap golfer would want to express themselves any differently than someone with a high handicap. My friends with double digit handicaps are just as passionate about the game as I am. Come to think about it, I've known some really high handicap golfers that are complete golf nuts.

On an another note; Rule 6.3a encourages a player to mark their ball. There is no rule mandating it. Although your club can have a local rule.

Lol i haven't heard of anyone complain about the numbers either. Pretty interesting to think about. I like the numbers, and i dont see it going away, but interesting for sure.

Instead of numbers, how about a name?
Like Vokey does with wedge stamping.
    Just a thought.

I usually order all 1's. If I have a box of 1-4, I never play 2's in a competitive round. Been that way since my jr golf days...30+ years. If given the option, I would still have a number on my ball.

I always order #11 for my parents birthday. That really makes it easy to identify your ball, have not seen anyone else with an 11 in my area.

I like this idea. While I try and buy the #33 balls (and still mark them), it is a hassle to drive out to one of the 2 stores in town I know carry them. If I don't feel like hassling with the long drive I just buy a box of normal PV1 X balls but I have a stigma with the #4 golf ball so while I buy a dozen, I never play that sleeve and give them away.
