What exactly is the ZG Process Core Technology? how does it affect the balls overall preformance? why don't they use it on the Pro V1X? Just was wondering about all of these different things, hope someone can answer them for me!
Patrick HArlington, VA
The ZG process is in regards to how the new cores are made. A good analogy would be like baking a sheet of cookies, the outer part of the cookie gets firmer, while the middle stays chewy. The old cores were made in a similar fashion with high tech manufacturing molds. The new process, going back to the cookie analogy, will make each core more uniform ie. all firm or all chewy.
As far as the performance of the ball, I can not speak as to what the new process has done, but do know that each core, and ball is the exact same.

for a guy 78 who hits an avg drive probably 210 what would be the best ball to use? I have a fairly slow back swing and swing as hard as I can (in a controlled fashion) but I don't think I am getting as much power in the strike zone as I once did.
thanks

Hi Ron,Great question. One thing to keep in mind is that all Titleist golf balls are long and that the distance difference between all current models is less than 5 yards. To shoot lower scores, we've seen golfers benefit more from a golf ball that provides them with the optimal control in their short game - approach shots and shots around the green. Here's a link to more information on our golf ball fitting methodology.
http://www.titleist.com/golf-ball-fitting/If you go through the online selection process, we'll be able to narrow down your choices to a recommended and alternative golf ball option. From there, we recommend conducting an on-course evaluation as that is really the best way for you get fit for the best ball for your game.I hope this helps and let us know how everything works out for you.

So does the "ZG" actually stand for something or is it just a buzzword sort of thing? Thanks.
