Has anyone had any problems with the black paint fill on the numbers on the sole coming off?  On my 714's, the numbers on 3 of my irons have all peeled away.  I know it's just aesthetics  but if I am like most of us Team Titleist members, I want my irons to look pristine for eternity.  I was thinking of getting some paint at a arts/crafts store or maybe the car dealership and trying to fill it back myself.  Any ideas?

If I take the time to send them back to Titleist over the winter season, can they repair them?  If so, where do I send them?

    Thanks

This has been addressed before on the forum and I am sure that one of the staff members will jump in on this. I have the same problem, primarily with my 8,9,PW. These are the clubs that I use the most and the 9 and PW are my warm up clubs. At our course we us matts Monday-Thursday, which are not good for irons. Additionally, there is a certain amount of sand in the soil at golf courses and the sand will cause the paint to wear with a lot of use. I keep fine point Sharpie Oil Based Paint Sticks that you can get at hobby shops for this purpose. I repaint as needed and let them dry overnight. Sometimes I will put on two coats. You can rub off the excess with fingernail polish remover. I just look at it as normal wear on the clubs. Cheers, Chuck
