I just went to my local Golf Galaxy store to special order 4 Vokey SM6 wedges (48,52,56,60) with Fujikura Pro 95i R graphite shafts. The store staff placed my order but the next day I received a call from the store staff that a Titleist rep had informed them Fujikura Pro shafts are no longer available on Titleist irons and wedges. I am currently playing Titleist AP1 irons and SM5 wedges with Fujikura Pro 75i R2 graphite shafts and 816 hybrids with Fujikura Pro 63h R2 graphite shafts. In the 2017 Titleist Custom Options Guide, Fujikura Pro 63 and 73 graphite shafts are available for drivers and hybrids but only in the S and X flex. Just wondering why the Fujikura Pro line of graphite shafts are no longer available on 2017 Titleist irons and wedges?

Hi Doug, Many years ago, we had a Pro 95, but it was a .335 parallel tipped shaft for woods, not the newer Pro 95 iron shaft. We have not tested or passed any of the Pro 95 iron shafts other than an X flex several years ago. We also have not tested or passed the Pro 75i in your irons or the Pro 63 hybrid shaft.
All the shafts that we offer have to go through a shaft testing protocol that can take up to several months and some shafts are not submitted and others do not pass. Because of the length of time it could take, most shaft OEMs will focus on submitting shafts that they believe will be their most popular as well as those that will pass. We do offer the PRO 64, 74, 84 line of shafts and the Pro 64 is offered in an R flex (but not the R2 flex)

Thanks so much for your reply Cathi. I hope that Titleist will consider testing the new Fujikura Pro iron shafts for the 2018 Custom Options Guide. FYI, I decided to order the Titleist approved UST Recoil 95-F3 flex graphite shafts for my AP1s and new SM6 wedges.
