U500 Shaft Tip Size

    Does anyone know what the shaft tip size is for the U500's? Is it still .355, or did they switch to .370. My 2 iron is coming Tuesday with the Hzrdus Smoke Black 90HY shaft in it. Was going to pull it and put my X100 shaft from my 718 T-MB in it, which is a .355. Wanted to make sure it'd fit before I started pulling shafts.

    I'd love to know as well. My u510 4 is great, but just a little too far to pair with my 5 iron. I'd like to know .370 or .355 shaft.

    will the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Tour 120 .355" Tip Iron Shafts fit as I am pulling the Hazardous smoke as well in my 2-iron?

    Yes any .355” tapered steel shaft will fit.

    Why didn't you just custom order it with the shaft that you wanted?

    All Titleist irons including U500 and U510 are .355 taper tip. With this new product we now offer the option of installing a Hybrid shaft in the driving irons. This was not available for TMB. To do this we convert the .370 Hybrid shaft to a .355 so that Hybrid shaft will fit in the U500/U510. It goes into a machine which it basically like a big pencil sharper.

    How did that shaft change work out for you Matt? a few years late to the party and i have been working on the same thing. 90g too light, 130 x100 too heavy. i just put a steelfiber 110g shaft in there. i notice the u500 hosel depth was quite shallow.
