  The serial number should be on the hosel.

The serial number should be on the hosel of the 6 iron, if not on all the clubs.  Give us a call if you are having a problem finding it.  Our number at Team Titleist is: (888) TITLEIST.

You may register your clubs using your Team Titleist profile.  Just go to your main profile page and click the "Edit Profile" tab.  From this page you will see a separate tab to Register Product.

What is the purpose of registering clubs? Does it do anything for you other than give specs if you need a replacement?

At this time, registering your clubs will show you what your specs are in case you lose or have your clubs stolen.

I just had my clubs fitted and my specs have changed from the 'stock' specs. Is there a place to put in the fitted 'specs' to go along with the registration?

Hi Chip,  The place to put the new specs would be under the "what's in my bag" tab.  You can describe the changes you made under there.

Why cant Acushnet tell the authenticity of the serial given? 

So i think this part where you register your clubs in here is pointless..

What if even an authorizes dealer starting to scam now?

Sold you a high quality counterfeit product claiming its the real thing..

I think Acushnet should be able to track the serial anyway..

Or are there too many vendors supplying your assembly plant?

So making it imposibble to trace where a club actually comes from..

I believe that the registration is an excellent idea. The fact that there may be some problems with fake clubs is a matter that Titleist and all manufacturers have and it is an on going dilemma facing not just the golfing world, but all industries. I registered my clubs and know that if, for some reason, they are lost or stolen, I have a record of the clubs with Titleist and that insurance will accept the information on file with Titleist and not just my word for what I claim to have had. Let's put it this way, I like the idea of registering mine and if there is some work involved in doing so, that is fine with me.

What do you mean by they have a record of your clubs after u registered it here? You are missing my point.

People still can register their FAKE clubs here along with a FAKE serial number no problem.

What if the serial numbers you registered are are fake as well? I mean your clubs might be a high quality 99.9% quality counterfeit products? You came in here registered it, and gets through..  would you take it?

( I tried it and it still work.. put in a fake serial number and nothing happens..)

By knowing this, It's not exactly what im looking for for a "peace of mind"...

Put aside buying clubs at autherizes dealer... I mean they can or may cheat behing Acuhshnet's back as well..

My point here is that Acushnet should really find a solution to track their clubs.. that's all..

No point registering your serials here if you can also register a FAKE serial numbers..

C'mon, is that really hard to keep a database?

Dont tell me a big company like this cant keep track of their ' authentic' products..

Do you really need a pen and piece of paper to write down each serial number ever stamped on your clubs?

After all, all Titleist clubs must go through the Acushnet-Titleist assembly and quality control line right..?

Or they still rely on a 15-men  'authorized' OEM factory somewhere in Asia to put these clubs together??

Thats why they cant keep track...

As you can imagine, we go to great lengths to protect our intellectual property and we investigate all leads in this type of illegal activity and will take appropriate action against the sellers. In addition, we actively participate in industry-wide initiatives aimed at curbing counterfeit products.

We have also put in place additional security measures, including a security label program, to further our commitment to combat this issue.

My AP-2 irons and Vokey wedges were custom fitted. The serial number on each club is the same. I was told that number identifies me and my clubs. All Titleist clubs carry a one year warranty, so I would think that number would be needed.

What do the individual numbers and letters stand for, what do these digits mean? Thanks in advance

Registering your clubs also helps verify that your Titleist clubs are not counterfeited clubs as counterfeit golf clubs are a big problem these days. I believe that if a person purchases a "Titleist" golf club and the product registration is rejected, then that means the golf club is a dud.  I could be wrong and if so, hopefully a Titleist rep can correct me.

Anyone going to the trouble of counterfeiting clubs could just as easily put a real serial number on the clubs.  They may sell 100 sets of counterfeit clubs with the same serial number but there is no way that Titleist could tell.  All Titleist would know is the serial number is valid.
