Has anyone hit both irons and can compare how much difference there might be between the two clubs? Two degrees in loft might mean five yards in distance, but bending the standard TS100 2* strong will change the bounce two degrees. Can anyone comment if they see a difference both in distance and ground contact?

Since the 100-S came out shortly before the pandemic and while much of the nation was still in winter, there aren't many that have bent the 100 by 2 degrees and then tried the 100-S. Maybe someone that has had the T-100 bent to match the lofts on the T-200 can describe if the bounce change has impacted them from previously using the AP2 at standard loft.
Titleist didn't just bend the 100 to market the 100-S. Maybe someone from Titleist involved in the design can discuss how or what the bounce is on the 100-S and if they expect it to interact differently with the turf than a T-100. I'm sure there is a better description of purpose than just a bent T-100 or a fully forged T-200.
  3. I am tempted to bend my T100 2deg stronger to match the T100s
The reason being is the gapping between my AP3s and T100 would be closer in a blended set
Is there any negative effect as I don’t want to buy T100s. I was one of the people who would have gone with the stronger version if it had been released at the same time
  4. Thomas,

They didn’t just bend them two degrees strong. They redesigned the soles on the “S” so that the bounce would be the same as the standard T100.

Still waiting for mine, but turf interaction should be the same as the standard T100 as bounce is the same.

I know they didn't bend the original T-100 2 degrees strong. That's why I'm curious to see if anyone can notice a difference in distance and ball flight. I have a loft and lie machine and I have two sets of 718 AP2s, one of which is set standard and the other I bend to see if I can see a difference in a degree or three in distance and turf interaction. I can hit the jacked up lofts a little farther but can't tell anything about the change in bounce. I find changing the lie angle to be significant in ball flight.

I had an opportunity to compare both but without the proper shaft length. The 100s did indeed peak a tiny bit higher. However the drop and stop of the T100 was only a few yards behind based on trackman range data. I was given a 7 iron but no .75 shaft adjustment so my swing had to incorporate more sweeping - this may have left some gaps on the t100s data. Finally key was the T100 felt better to me and I couldn't justify any significant gain in the 100s. All things considered I rescheduled a fitting for May. Hope this helps.
