  1. Hi All,

Would love some feedback and advice during a time of need - especially with a lack of resources due to the ongoing issues outside.

I purchased 716 AP2's a couple years back and upgrade the shafts to PXIs 6.5. Unfortunately, in just a few rounds this season, I have bent the tips on two irons (7 and 8). Since they are out of warranty and after a few conversations with Titleist reps, it appears that I am on own to replace these. With PXI's being discontinued now, I will be swapping out all iron shafts now.

Called my local retailer (Golf Town) and since the simulators are currently closed with no opening in the near future, I am looking to you all for some help.

I am considering staying within Project X shafts or changing entirely. Any help or guidance would be great on making sure this does not happen again.

Swing speed sits around 89-95 so I am on the border of stiff/xstiff with a higher than normal ball flight.

Finding a shaft without testing one is very tricky, but if you do your research, It can help a lot. I'd first go to True Tempers fitting website, input your numbers and what you would like the flight of the ball to do. Then, I'd look at specs of the shafts you were currently hitting. More precisely, get the specs of the shafts such as the grams, tip, etc (Since you're probably wanting something that feels as comfortable). Another step you could take is look at a graph that shows shafts, and see where each shaft lines up for spin/ball flight. This could all help, but testing something is obviously the best way.

The PXI shafts are still available and have not been discontinued. With your swing speed and higher launch I would recommend the 6.5(x-flex), but the 6.0(stiff) may still be a good fit. The newer project X LZ may be another good option if you want to avoid the standard project X.
