718 AP1 shaft question

    When I was fitted for my 718 AP1s, they fit me with the AMT white shafts. Since then every set of 718 AP1s I've came across use AMT Red. Since I've been questioned a few times (and do not have an answer why). Would any of you know why a swing warrants AMT True Temper Tour White? I don't remember what the instructor said, but I hit red, wht, and blk that day. And my best numbers were with white. Just curious why white?

    We all have different shaft loads and attack angles. More purchasers of AP1 need more help launching hence the boxed set/base shaft is red. Getting fit made sure the best combination for you included the white - a lower launching shaft.

    Every shaft produces a bit different swing. I went through 8 shafts during my fitting and some were similar but a few really made a difference. I ended up with the KBS Tour 90 and when people asked me why I chose them, I just tell them I'm not an "off the shelf" golfer. Then I take their money and tell them "see you next week"
