  1. I have a set of Accu Flo irons. 3-P. I really like them so far. The problem is I am very new to the game. I bought about every club I seen at yard sales and second hand stoes and peices these together. I have a complete set of Maxfli Australian Blades also but i am way worse with those. My question is should I continue with the Accu Flos until get a few seasons under me? Or would I be better off getting a set of King Cobra IIs?

You just answered your own question without even asking.... You need to see a Pro and get properly fit (and stop wasting money)!!

I agree with Todd T 100%! You don't have to get Titleist irons (I would) but getting fit at a known fitting establishment with a certified pro. They can put you in the best clubs for your swing and current playing level. It will make such a big difference having clubs fit for your game. Either way, enjoy this great game!

Todd and Scotty R have it right. Get fit. Just an FYI, those Maxfli Aussie blades are tiny, with a sweet spot the size of a dimple!
  5. Everyone above is right. Get fit. You are only making the intro to the game harder buy trying to use clubs that might be hurting you instead of helping.
  6. You don't want to get fit for clubs if your too new to the game as your swing will be to variable to get accurate results and an overall good fitting. Once you are confident in your abilities with your current clubs then maybe go for something a bit more advanced

I must disagree with waiting. I do agree that skill, age, and other factors will impact your results over time and another fitting in a few years might yield different results but the basics of a fitting will make a difference learning to hit the club correctly instead of developing bad habits to compensate for the clubs. Club lie and length are factors that should be considered based on body type, height, arm length, and grip size based on hand size. None of those thing require you to be a refined golfer and all could put you in a set that doesn't allow you to swing properly. Get fit and get an updated fitting later when you feel your swing no longer matches the clubs you play.

If I were you, I would get fitted even if I were 'new' to the game.

Once you are fitted, you will get what works best for you in the fitting with your current swing. If you need something different or adjusted slightly later on, you can deal with it later by getting fitted again.

In a few seasons, you might have to change clubs, but you will not have to think about the what-ifs. You will know you have what works best for you now and perhaps for a couple of seasons.

I agree with Dale. Any good golf store can get you in even a used set with the right length lie and shaft.
Then after you start getting the club on the ball consistantlly you can move up to a better set
  10. The Accu flos are from 81 lol but the length seems so much more comfortable then anything else I had the chance to play. Thanks for the imput you guys. I think I will get fitted and see if they can use my club heads

See a PGA Pro and get your swing in order, or at least comfortable enough to then go get fit. Do what is meaningful, appropriate and affordable. I would recommend a Titleist fitting and Titleist clubs through the bag.
