  1. I recently picked up a demo 718 T-MB 3 iron off the rack that's become my most trusted club in the bag. Were the T-MB's discontinued? Why are used sets almost $2,000?!?!

Yes, they started out as only utility irons with the 716 model and then went to full sets for 718. The technology behind their manufacturing process lead to a higher price than what most people were willing to pay and the profile (blade like with hollow face and internal weighting) just didn't fit a higher volume of targeted users so they dropped the line with the introduction of the T-Series irons. I love my set of 718 T-MB's and hope that they will come back with something similar in the future. They have a bit of a cult following and so with such limited production and people still wanting them, supply and demand is keeping used set prices high. I may have to start using iron covers so they don't get lifted off the bag rack when I'm in the clubhouse.

Yes, discontinued with the release of the T series irons. My guess is there weren’t a high enough number of sets sold. Many were only purchased as driving irons for 3 & 4 irons. The CNCPT irons contributed to the T series and the latest driving irons. That makes the T-MB a little of a dinosaur.

The asking price may be 2 grand on e-bay. Check the PGA Trade in Service for the wholesale value. That will be a better guide to a more accurate market value.
  4. I too just picked up a 718 T-MB 4 iron, as when I got fit for my 718 AP2's i hit one and hit it well. But at the time the t-mb were 275 a club. there was also a previous version in the 716 line. Under the newest releases, I believe we see the T400 and the Useries covering the older T-MB

I know, Joe! I have the 2018 2 iron and wow its awesome. I sought out a set as well, and I guess they hold their value well. Such solid clubs, but man its a lot.
  6. The TMBs are an expensive set of irons, I believe they retailed at $249 each. I think the TMB's can still be custom ordered thru your local pro. The new T series irons are nice, playing the T-100 and loving them
