  1. Ok so I love my 913 fairway but I thought I deserve an upgrade and everyone likes new shiny things in the bag right?

After quite a lot of searching and trialing of different fairways the Titleist TS3 came out pretty damn good.

The size difference in these clubs is staggering. The TS3 looks like a driver in comparison to my old 913.

My 913 is a great club but it's starting to look pretty rough round the edges so I welcome the TS3 with open arms and can't wait for next summer to really put it through its paces.

Nice to hear. I am like you I don’t make many changes to my bag because when I find a good thing it’s staying in the bag. Look forward to hearing how you’re playing with the new driver.

It takes me a while as well, I'm still hitting a 915 fairway!

Alex, great side by side comparison photo. I had no idea there was that much size difference between them. The TS3 looks absolutely massive.

I've got the 910D3 fairway, size wise much like your 913.I love the look of a small fairway wood.

I'm been messing with my bag a lot in the last two years and i am about one or two clubs away from not changing for awhile

I'm always one or two clubs away from not changing for awhile. Unfortunately, I never get to the "not changing for awhile" part. Facepalm It just doesn't work that way for me.

Thinking back, I can't remember a time I stayed with the same 14 clubs (plus alternates) for more than 1/2 a season. It's not that I don't plan to be "set" for awhile. It's just that, I guess I'm never satisfied....or always curious.

I am currently play a 917D2 and a 917F which I was fitted for by a Titleist product specialist who has over 25 years experience. I tried the new TS series when they came out and we could not get more than 3 more yards trying many combinations of shafts and was not worth the upgrade. Comparing apples and oranges they were pretty much the same. Now that the TSIs are out I want to give them a try. Having had back surgery and other issues in 2020 I talked to my fitter and was told that I was away too longer to jump into a fitting and to get some rounds under my belt and we could then work together again. My swing is coming back and feel that maybe in the next few weeks I can give the new driver a try. My 917 fairway is on fire right now. I am outdriving most of my opponents against their drivers right now. It has been keeping me in the fairways and it is long. Maybe in some cases longer that my driver and it is set at 15.75 degrees. Am very encouraged with what I have heard about the new TSIs and almost ready to take a test drive.....

    Hi,
    Very good question.

For me, I like to change driver, wood and, hybrid every 2 versions ( every 4 years).
But, I could change shafts more often on driver, woods, and less often on irons.

For irons, I bought a very good set and I could keep them a long time.
For wedge, if I see a good evolution, I will change them ( never before 2 years)
Putter, it depend, but if I putt well, I keep them longer and I have few in closet in case.

I have a 917 fwy, it wont be leaving the bag anytime soon. Enjoy the upgrade!
  11. I recently upgraded my driver from a 913 D to a TS 2 and what difference. The ball jumps off the club face. I even upgraded my hybrids going with the TS 2 23* and 25* (Had older version of Calaway Diablo's). Same result...the ball absolutely jumps off the face of the club. I have gained not only additional yards but confidence as well. I am very happy with the upgrades. My bag is 100% Titleist now
