With the new greens at our course, I visited my local fitter today to get my putters adjusted to ensure they were at Scotty's specification, which they were not, of course. Upon a whim, I asked to hit the new TSi drivers while I was there and my fitter had some time to see me. I was playing a 917D2 with a Fujukura Tour 64gm stiff shaft and pleased with the results but had heard so much about the increased performance thought I would try one. Got the 917D2 out of the SUV and we did some comparisons and ended up with the TSi3 with the same shaft, increased my distance and the ball seemed to hug close to that line. "Did not even ask about how long it would take to get the new big dog", as long as it gets here in time to put a number of swings and a few rounds on it before the TT event in Pinehurst in September. According to trackman we had about a ten yard gain over the 917. Until then I will just continue playing my old driver, working on my tempo and iron game. This driver is a beast.
