Reverse Blending Irons

  1. I'm considering a set of T100S and usually people would consider blending a T200 in the longer irons, but I really don't like how big T200 looks or the feel of the hollow body construction (I previously played U500 4-iron). So, I'm considering playing a combo of T100 4-iron (24*) with a 5 iron length shaft, T100S 6-iron (28*) as the longest irons after a 21* hybrid.

Is there any reason this reverse combo is a bad idea, or is there a better way to work this transition? While remaining as fade biased as possible.

I aim to have a 24* iron to gap better between the hybrid (21*) the T100S 6-iron (28*) without bending the 5-iron stronger which increases offset and would add to my tendency to draw the ball.

  2. Would t100s 4 iron bent weak to 23*or 24* be a better option?

I think you'll lose some forgiveness in the T100 vs T100S. The channel in T100S makes it easier to launch high and I also feel like the yardages of T100S vs T100 will not gap the same due to loft alone. CG, the tungsten, and the speed channel will make for a very club in 4-7 iron.

To exaggerate the point - I dont think I'd put in a 4iron MB and then go CB for the rest.
  4. That makes sense, it seems like a t100s 4 iron bent weak would be a better option to keep more of a fade bias and blend in with the rest of the set better.
