I got fit at True Spec into the TSr2. I ended up buying the Tsi2 instead. I am really enjoying the driver more than my previous one. I am wondering for those who have played the Tsi and Tsr series did I make a mistake buying the older model. I have heard mixed reviews about how much better the TSr actually is.

It really comes down to the fitting and shaft selection. Based on my swing speed I was fit for a TSi-1 but it never worked out well. So I’m much happier with my TSR-2. Not to mention 20-30 yards along with taking out the left half of the fairway (LH golfer).

If you have a reasonably consistent swing and on center the size of a quarter, all else equal, release to release nets less than 3 yards improvement. Which is no small deal to stay within the USGA limits. If you can’t see a difference of more than 5 yards, then you saved $100-150. Some don’t see a difference, others move between the 2, 3, and -4 versions and see big changes from their current TSi.

I switched from TSI2 Driver to TSR2 3 months ago. The TSR2 is definitely a bit longer and forgiveness a touch more. That’s my opinion.

The TSi is amazing, you're gonna love it!
  5. I decided that I would save some $$$ and get the TSi2 instead of the Tsr.
I love the driver and the money I saved let me get a 3wood.

With the Tsi2 I am consistently around the 285 to 310 yard mark.

    You will be happy

I bought the Tsi2 when it came out. Was fit and the distance, control, and feel is fantastic. Best driver I have ever purchased. My Arccos stats shows me hitting 92% of fairways the last 4 times Ive played.

I have been super happy with the Tsi2 and it is a lot longer than my png driver was and still has a ton of forgiveness. I got a really good deal on the Tsi2 head and put the KBS TD shaft I got fit for in it and I think its comparable to the Tsr. It isn't as long but saving over $300 was the right move.

I had a Team Titleist fitting for SM9 wedges and with so much time left over when we were done, my fitter did a quick fitting for the TSi2 while letting me know the new TSr's would be available soon. Once the TSr's debuted, I got fitted for the TSr2, as well, but it didn't feel as good to me as the TSi did. I ended up finding a TSi2 with my fitted specs and have never been happier. I was playing the 913D2, so it had been a long while since I'd upgraded my driver and the results have been nothing short of amazing.
  9. Well I had a fitting for a new driver today and I’ve got a tsr2 on order. Was a wash for distance with the G430, but the tsr2 just went straight and looked better. My first titleist driver since the 975D and feels good to be back. Just have to be patient and wait for it now.

I had the two previous models and my contact point ion the driver was always high and towards the heel no matter what. With the TSR2 I’m able to find the center of the face al most every time with the same swing as before. I think the lower CG helped me dramatically.
