  1. Going to buy a t200 3 iron and I'm curious why there is only a 2-degree gap between the 3 iron and 4 iron. There's an option at checkout to have them ship it 1 degree stronger but I was just wondering why the standard is a 2-degree gap because I don't want to regret having them ship it one degree strong,

The T200 3 iron is designated as a utility build product, not a continuation of the iron set. I think thee is also a 2 utility iron option as well. Primarily intended as an extension in lieu of a hybrid to the T100 line.
Definitely should work with a fitter to get your best option of a 7W, 19 hybrid, or 3 driving iron.

The irons are already strong. The lower the loft, the closer you get to flat and the more the ball is traveling horizontally than vertically so the greater impact it has on distance to the ground versus distance in the air. This is why many amateurs with slower swing speeds have gone away from low lofted irons all together. Side spin is greater and controlling runout is more difficult. I would suggest you get the standard 3 iron and you can always have it bent 1 degree stronger later if needed.

I find that interesting. All the other irons have three degree gaps from seven iron down, T100, T300, T400 series. I would ask them to gap that iron at 19* specifically. Not one degree strong, in case it is a misprint. It can be done. I would recommend ordering it thru a Titleist account so there is no misunderstanding, pro shop/retailer. Just saying. They can write it in the order.

I think a 20 degree 3 iron with a graphite shaft is proper gapping from the 4 iron. A lot of pros I watch have a graphite shaft in the 3 iron now. Ideally you would gap in between your 4 iron and 3/4 wood.

I play T200s and plan on going to a 16.5 degree TSR and a 20 degree U505 from my current 15 degree 3 wood and 17 degree hybrid. Of course I will confirm that with a fitting at my club.
  6. Have you had them fitted? they should order the exact ones for you!
