does anyone have the standard head weight for the tsr1 20 deg fairway? i'd like to know how much lighter is is than the TSR2.

all i can get from the website is total weight so far as i can tell, not just raw head weight.

Head weight is relatively unimportant. The swing weight is adjusted at the head to achieve SW. The shaft weight and grip weight will vary the total weight. The light weight grips are about 25 g and the shaft runs about 40 g. You can rough estimate the shaft/grip contributions to both clubs. The shaft weight, torque, grip weight are all part of the lighter club system to improve club head speed.

Once I put a Tensai Blue shaft with GP tour velvet grip on a TSi-1 driver to cut down on 4000+ spin, I would have needed a much heavier weight that would add more spin. At that point I gave up and went to a TSR-2 driver with a HZDRD Red shaft and lived happily ever after.

If one of the standard shafts and lightweight grip’s don’t work well, then the lightweight system probably isn’t for you.

see i know exactly what i need because i know exactly what i had (tsi2 7w, face caved, so shopping for a replacement). so head weight is absolutely important as i want the new club to play exactly as the old club did, but with different head characteristics. i need the head weight to match so the shaft plays the same.

it was a simple question i thought, kind of surprised nobody could just put theirs on a scale and let me know.

I would suggest going to see a fitter to get the correct set up. Getting the correct shaft and head set up can improve your game and leave the worrying about weighting to the fitter.

i know the correct setup, i just want a head weight on the TSR1 so i can get it ordered correctly.
