I've read previously that Titleist will tip trim certain driver shafts to match performance specs determined by their R&D department; and that the actual tipping amount can vary from shaft-to-shaft.

I'm hoping someone from Titleist can advise what their standard tipping specs are for the following shafts. Thanks.

Fujikura Ventus TR Red Velocore 6S

Fujikura Ventus TR Blue Velocore 6S

Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6S

I do not expect they will publish an answer as this may lead to more people altering their own assembly on new clubs. As you probably are aware, Titleist only sells assembled clubs except to their build partners like Club Champion. That is the only way they can ensure high quality and keep the warranty from being compromised.

Most likely they will not tip a shaft beyond the shaft manufacturers recommendation, unless specifically requested. Typically driver shafts are not tipped. For fairway and hybrids you can get the tipping instructions from the shaft website.
If you're a do it yourselfer, be careful. Once it's tipped, you can't go back.
