  1. Hi All,

Just received my T150s after a decade of AP2s and super excited to get on the course. With regards to club aftercare I already wash/wipe down my clubs after the round.

Any recommendations for cleaning products or tips that I could employ to ensure my bats stay better for longer?

Keep it on the short stuff ;)

I believe your wash/wipe routine after each round is a great way to treat your clubs so they're performing at their best; I do a similar wash/wipe after each shot. I stay away from harsh agents and find mild soap and water works well. Sometimes I'll use a brush to clean the grooves but most of the time I find a nice wooden tee will do the job. The only other suggestion I would give you is more related to aesthetics and sometimes it's a volatile subject to discuss: iron covers.

Personally, I'm not an iron cover person and I have no prejudice over anyone who chooses to employ those items for their clubs. I know a few people who use the covers and swear by them. It's your set, so you do what you're most comfortable doing and forget what others think.

I usually wipe my irons down with a micro fiber towel and a touch of water. Make sure they are dry and can "breathe" . Tuck them in each night with a pat on the head and let them know everything will be ok.

I think your current routine will continue to work well on your T150's and anyone with T100's or blades. I would recommend anyone with T200 or T350 to not soak the entire head in a bucket of water. I would be concerned about small amounts of water getting behind the backplate and eventually creating issues. Nothing to scientifically back up that concern, just my OCD and cautious behavior.

Clubs are tools. Keep them clean, don't store them in temperature or humidity extremes. Clean your hands after applying sun screen so not to make the grips slippery.
Some like covers, but I put as many dings on them on course as what chatter might add. Not worth it to me. When cleaning, do not immerse the heads in water. Any that leaks into the head or hosel can cause bad things.

I use mild soapy water to clean the heads after each round and wipe down the grips…That’s about it…I also own a set of Mizunos and their site talks about using an oil that miz sells to put on the iron heads…I’ve never used such a product, but I guess it’s a thing!
  7. Personally I use water and a magic sponge to clean my iron heads after each round the sponge gets all the dirt and grit out of the grooves effortlessly

I have a spritzer bottle that I use and just spray water on the heads and clean grooves with a medium soft brush. Wipe down the heads with a soft bath towel. They come out nice and shiney and clean. Have done this for years. Works for me. Soak clean end of towel and wipe down grips when cleaning heads.

Good information on this thread. I have the CP-03s which are hollow, and I think I will stop soaking them in water to clean them.
