In 2009 I started playing golf again, after a 40 year hiatus. I went with titleist irons and played them until 2023, ap2, cb or mb or a combination. I played the kbs tour and tour 90 shafts. Contrary to expectations, I have found the mbs to be the easiest to play, probably because I am a sweeper. I turned 75 last year and thought I should probably switch to something more forgiving and to give me some more distance. After a lot or research, I went with the png i230 irons with a recoil graphite shaft. I did pick up a little more distance, but lost some accuracy. I am willing to give up a little distance for more accuracy. So, after 6 months, I came back home to titleist with a combo set of cbs and mbs with the kbs tour 90 shaft. Lost a little distance, but dispersion is much better. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience?
