Let a fitter be your conscience. (Didn’t want to use the refrain Go get fit).

The goal is to get the best iron to fit your swing. Regardless of handicap. The T200 is not a bad guess, but work with the fitter to try the T150 and T350 as well.

I would set up a fitting and test your current set verses the 200’s. Preferably outdoors so you can see the flight. Not a big fan of indoor fitting. I would make sure you are seeing significant improvement before changing as you will need to rethink the distances. It is fun to test new clubs! Good luck!

I got fit and it was very humbling, but it was the best thing I ever did for my game.

As above comment - I was playing T200s (2021). Went to get fitted and hoped to move to T150. However on Trackman versus my current t200s the numbers just weren't god for my swing. Had better performance with the T350 moving to AMT Red S300. Launch angle and dispersion was much better and tighter. Distance was slight improvement. Played 3 rounds and improved scores by 5-6 strokes.

I went to a fitting last Friday, really thinking T200 or T150. Didn’t have my “A” swing, but couldn’t beat my gamers with either club. Tried several different shafts, lengths and lie angles. Preconceived notion proved wrong by the data. I have TSR3 driver, fairway and hybrid along with Vokey wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter and wanted the T-series irons to work but they didn’t quite fit. Planning on another attempt to make sure…

Had a similar situation to yours: I came back to the game two years ago after a 10 yr hiatus, and started in the 25+ handicap range. I’ve improved significantly(thankfully!) and was playing the 2021 T300s but just couldn’t get enough height or decent landing angles to stop the ball on greens here in Arizona. Got fit at a Titleist event and at a local fitter and both came to the same conclusion. T150s, moved down to regular shafts. Height improved by 15-20 ft, landing angles now in the 45-50 degree range, and I maybe lost 2 yards in carry. Dispersion north and south and side to side was even better because according to the fitters, my club now doesn’t get messed with by the turf. As Don and Doug said above, the fitting will set your mind at ease.
