Newport 2 or Phantom 7

    I have been gaming a Spider Tour for about a year now but have really been wanting a Scotty, and I have recently gotten to the point where I am able to get one, the problem now is what do I get? I have been deciding between the Iconic Newport 2 blade or the New Phantom 7 since it’s a mallet, but from what you guys have felt and experienced what one have yall preferred?

    Any putter will work better with the correct toe flow adjusted for loft, lie, and length. Like for any fitting, go with what the fitter recommends. Buying based on looks is like buying a carbon faced driver because red is your favorite color.

    I have the 7.5 and not the 7 because i have to fight the face balanced 7. Fitter recommended with a SAM lab fitting for mild toe flow. For a LH fitting I didn’t have many options.

    Personally I have the 2019 super select laguna and a futura x5 mallet. I switch between them but personally I think the mallet is generally a little better for me although I personally like the look of the blade better.

    I have both Mallet and Blade Scotty's. I prefer the blades,but can fall in love with any Scotty.

    Personal preference. Mallet putters are a lot more forgiving generally speaking, but it really comes down to what looks good and feels good to you.
