I went to Club Champion and got fitted for a new GT3 driver last fall(2024) and really saw some nice carry/total yds pickup over my existing TSI that I purchased 3 years ago. I have been working on picking up some club head speed over the winter and I have been going into a local XGolf the last couple of weeks just to work on my game. My club head speed has gone up about 3-5 mph and I have verified this on a track man and at the Xgolf location. I also purchased a new GT 3 wood and have loved it thus far. My concern is the Smash factor I am seeing with the driver? The best I am able to achieve is a 1.40-1.41 and often times I am seeing 1.35-1.38. Meanwhile, the Smash factor on my 3 wood is consistently 1.45+. I am hitting 25 plus drivers in each session and I have had a friend with a similar swing speed hit my driver as well and nothing ever above 1.40? I am concerned about a faulty head? I only played about 5 rounds with the new driver last fall before winter arrived and I have not played at all since late November. I can swap out my GT head for my old TSI head with the same shaft and get 1.44-45 consistently. Any thoughts?
