Just got the chance to hit the GT 1 driver and it is just. A beast was a good 10 yards longer then, better spin, and better ball speed than my AI smoke Max D so I am defiantly going to have to get fit. The real problem is going to be if I like the fairways do I end up trading out my GT 2 fairways along with the Driver. I think this might end up being a full on top end fitting as I may even switch out from my current setup 4w and 7w to 5w and hydros which is what hit previously.

Anyone who had GT 2 fairways switch down to the GT 1 fairways now that they are out?

I have a GT2 7 wood - having seen the GT1 - I like the bigger and flatter look (20cc larger) . Bonus is the adjustability for fore and aft weights as you can produce any feel you want despite the fact that the setup is designed to be lighter - j also like the feel off of the face . Add in the fact that you can swap in an existing stay and for me a no brainer

After getting a couple of TSR-1 hybrids, I held off on getting any GT clubs until I could get fit with the option of the GT-1 versus the GT-2 clubs. I think my TSR-2 driver is not the best fit, but I wanted to make sure I got the best choice. It may be a GT-2, but only because it is better for me than the GT-1.
At the expense of changing clubs, it would be worth a $75-100 fitting to be sure if the GT-1 fairways offered a clear advantage.
