In the market for a couple of new Titleist caps and was wondering if anyone can tell me which cap fits further down on the head?  I can't stand the hats that feel like they're perched on top of my head. Not a fan of flat billed either.  Does "low rise" mean it fits over more of the head?

    Thanks, Mike M.

As an avid hat wearer, I have always had trouble finding a Titleist hat that fits my head. I wear a S/M in the standard Titleist fitted stretch hat, and have noticed that it usually sits a bit high for my liking, along with being off-center a touch. I still wear it, but would much prefer a more low rise hat.

Mike, the tour performance hat is lightweight and adjustable and very comfy for your head.  You don't sweat as much and the material really breathes.  Check it out at your local golf store.  They also come in some really cool colors along with the basics.

    Hi Mike,

Typically, a "low rise" hat is one in which the top portion or crown sits low (ie: it is not as "deep" as the traditional fitting caps).  This means that it will sit a little higher on your head and look more "rounded".

A good example of this is Justin Leonard ...he used to always wear a "low rise" cap:

I think you can see from the photo that he wears a "low rise" cap that sits primarily on the top of his head and not down at the ears.  I hope this helps give you a better sense of it.

I too love my Titleist hats and have about a dozen various Titleist caps too.  I tend to favour the more traditional cap vs. the "low rise" caps.

I just purchased one of the new performance pique hats from Carl's Golfland. It is lightweight and sits low on the head.
