Difference between 14 way stand bag and the ultralight stand bag. I need a new bag and I walk a lot but I really like the 14 way stand bag. Need help deciding.

If it were me I would get the lighter of the 2. Just me though. Hit um straight, Dave...
Chris MGrindelwald,
Would decide for the 14 -way
I don't like it too much if the clubs are banging together while carrying the bag

IMO:
If you're walking and going to carry, the ultralight stand bag is the best way to go.. I carried my bag (ultralight) for the first time a few weeks ago and felt great. The only downside was trying to get a club outta of the bag w/o taking all of them out.
If you get the 14 way stand bag, it's a little heavy and you could always get a push cart to take the stress off your back... I tried carrying it once, no thanks... I use to have the 14 way (different brand) and didn't like it.. Ended up getting a 4 way one and enjoy that more, definitely don't have issues getting clubs out... Also with a big bag like that, you're able to store more stuff in the bag just in case (extra clothing, balls, etc.).. That's where the push cart comes in handy...
Best of luck with your choice!!

I've had both the 14-way and an Ultra lightweight. I prefer the Ultra Lightweight for walking because 1) it is much lighter 2) it's very comfortable on your shoulders. The new pocket closures on the ultra lightweight are awesome. They are very simple to grab when you want to access a pocket. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the lined valuable's pocket because it hasn't gotten smaller than the 2014 version. I put my rangefinder in this pocket and it is much tighter and not as easy to access. Overall the ultra lightweight is an excellent bag.

richbow9Huddersfield,
I have the ultralight stand bag, and don't like it. Yes it's light, which is a big plus, but it's small. The biggest thing wrong with it is it's only a 3 way divider in a 'T' shape. I find this really awkward and my clubs end up being a right old pain to get in and out of the bag. I'm certainly looking forward to some better weather here in the Uk, and being able to use my Motocaddy again!

I'm having the same debate with myself. When I do walk, I want it to be as light as possible. I don't need a lot of pockets, because I'm simply not going to carry any extra "stuff." But I have a 14 way divider on my cart bag and love it. It's so easy to get a club in and out, plus you can instantly see if you've left a club somewhere. Comparing the weights on the website, it's less than 2 pounds. So at the end of the day, will it be really that noticeable? At this point, I really don't know what I'll end up deciding.

I'm looking at either of the two Sta Dry bags but kind of leaning towards the cart version since I own a push cart and don't like fighting with the legs/bag rubbing on the front wheel. Anyone use either one in a Clic Gear push cart?

Try the Staff stand bag. Its actually lighter than the 14 way stand bag. 6.0 pounds vs 6.8 pounds. Gives plenty of room for clubs, and stuff. Ultralight stand bag is lighter but putting clubs in and getting them out is not easy. What good is it if you can't use it for intended purpose ? Only problem with the staff stand bag is it is very "loud" in a visual way. Don't like having a large vinyl white side with large black "Titleist" imprinted on it. Feel like I'm carrying a billboard. They should pay me to carry the bag.

Ultralight is the way to go if you walk. I am a walker only and carry and I love my Ultralight Bag. I carry minimal clubs as possible so banging around isn't an issue. You won't be disappointed.

Just received a 14way bag for Christmas and love it accept one thing: the single shoulder strap. The newer models apparently now have the dual strap so that should help a little.
